Designing a robot delivery app presented unique challenges due to the novelty of the concept. Balancing functionality with user-friendliness was paramount, as we aimed to introduce a technology that was still unfamiliar to many. Addressing concerns such as trust, delivery quality, and navigation clarity posed significant design hurdles. However, by prioritizing simplicity and transparency in the UI/UX, we were able to mitigate these challenges and build trust among users.
One of our key strategies for user acquisition was targeting the West Los Angeles market through targeted Google ads and brand awareness efforts. By leveraging geo-targeted ads and strategic partnerships with local businesses, we aimed to capture the attention of potential users and establish Coco as a reliable and convenient delivery solution in the area.
In addition to user acquisition efforts, I focused on creating sales collateral to onboard and sell merchants onto the app. Through market research and user feedback, we discovered that users valued selection above all other features. Armed with this insight, I collaborated with the sales team to develop persuasive materials highlighting the benefits of joining Coco's platform. Today, there are over 100 merchants who deliver with Coco!
